GORDON E. GROSSMANN, SR., was born in Wisconsin in 1926. At the end of the Second World War, Gordon returned from overseas service and reported for duty at Arlington Hall in Virginia. On his first day there, army photographer Marjorie Whitmore took his photograph for a new ID card. Gordon and Marjorie enjoyed the next sixty-four years together, until Marjories death in 2010. Gordon took the photographs on this page with a Canon digital camera while on a trip to Israel in 2013. His eldest son, Bud, collaborated with him in the editing of the images.
