All Rights Reserved.   Television Screen, 2012 © 2012 by Bud Grossmann FAVORABLE MOVIE REVIEW Look, I’m trying to save you some time. I cannot in good conscience recommend the movie I watched on Thursday night, so I’m not going to tell you its name. This way, you won’t have to watch it yourself (or think back to when you did watch it), and you won’t have to look up what other reviewers have said. I’m giving it five stars. The film presented no “message” that I could discern, but I considered it a one-hundred-percent plausible portrait of a particular place at a particular moment in time. Smart script, nice editing, brilliant casting, outstanding performances. Mm-hmm, five stars. I can’t say I loved it from the start. If I weren’t so committed to inertia, I might have walked out on it in the first twenty minutes. I watched it to the end, though, and I am glad I did. When I find the time and if you want to hear about it, I’ll tell you about the supper I had on Saturday.
