Sixty-seven years ago today, on
Easter Sunday, the sixth day of April,
nineteen hundred and forty-seven,
Gordon Earl Grossmann, age twenty-one,
and Marjorie Lillian Margaret Whitmore,
age twenty-four, were joined in marriage
at Parsippany Presbyterian Church in
Parsippany, New Jersey. Some things
found in Parsippany seem like serendipity,
but this event, you must agree,
undoubtedly was meant to be,
because it so unerringly
resulted very soon in me.
