Today, May 14, 2016,
David C. Fischer,

purchased his first smartphone.
In his almost sixty-seven years of life,
Fischer has, at times,
been led to believe that he is,
in some ways,
a somewhat smart person.
In the several hours since he
purchased his phone, however,
Fischer has been smarting
under the realization
that he may be
not nearly so very smart
as he has hitherto supposed.
