Pet Peeve |
Most homes have 1 washer and dryer. It really bugs me when someone in the building decides it’s okay to use both the washers and dryers. Hogging the laundry should be against building rules. Rude, inconsiderate, unfriendly. I don’t do it and get irked when someone else does. It is in the house rules that you can remove laundry left in the machines. If that woman isn’t back to collect her laundry the minute the wash cycle is done, I’m removing it and getting on with my washing day.
Humph!
So how is your morning going?

Good morning! |
Oh, dear! How did you identify the perpetrator? Did she separate her laundry into whites and coloreds and had she stitched name tags onto her days-of-the-week panties?
Brrrr today in Fjord, Wisc.
Have a real good Thursday.
Love, Dave
Then David had another thought.

And another thing... |
I am wondering why, Deb, peeves are called “pet”? I plan to look that up.

Deborah offered to help with the research.

I could call “a way with words” ... love that show.
The conversation went no further. David
considered asking again about laundry room
inconvenience or the history of a puzzling
English expression, but, as the days went by,
he decided he might be wise to let sleeping pets lie.
