I have been wide awake, I think, since two something. It’s 5:40 now. Celeste got up and out of bed a few minutes ago.
Celeste is scheduled for her pre-op Covid test today at 10:30. Surgery in Madison on Monday.
Sometimes I imagine what I would do if I was rich as Donald Trump. I would have round-the-clock attendants. Right now I would order my butler to massage my aching left ankle.
When the foot feels better, I would ask the butler to wash his hands and apply warm compresses to my aching eyes while Butler #2 reads me the New York Times. Celeste and Melania would be having coffee in the dining room. I can employ butlers for them, too, if they want. Not a problem, as everyone gets paid from campaign contributions.
6:01AM. Maybe I can fall asleep again. Celeste hollered from the dining room, “Did you get all caught up on the news already?” Guess she didn’t hear Butler #2 reading to me.
