Seems my faithful readers are more interested in football than I ever imagined, as I received, by rough count, twice as much commentary on my February 12 WoW as on any other WoW in the last whole lot of years. I am therefore inspired to post another football picture today and to invite all my readers to assist me in researching a story sent to me in the past week by my college buddy Bill West.

When we were chatting on the phone Sunday, I forgot to ask you if I had ever told you my story about getting a ticket to a Super Bowl for 87 cents.

Super Bowl 7 was at the Coliseum and I read that the football hall of fame had a traveling display on the Coliseum grounds, and it was free, so I rode my bike down to check it out. As I was wondering around looking for it a group of boys came running up to me and asked me if I wanted a ticket to the game. “How much?” “How much do you have?” I reach into my pocket and pulled out three quarters, a dime and two pennies. So I got to see the Super Bowl for 87 cents.

I have not heard again from Bill, but I am sure I will, so, for now, instead of my preparing to interview him when he does get back to me, I’m going to put it out first to the rest of you: What questions would YOU have (things that probably can’t be answered by a quick look at Wikipedia), to flesh out the story Bill told?
Wouldn’t that be something wonderful, if I were to publish a third football-themed WoW in a row?
