4 am bird wake up calls. Gave up on sleep. I can nap this afternoon. It’s beautiful outside. Made it through another not too bad winter. The forecast snow is to be expected. Monona magnolias burst into full bloom yesterday. Forsythia and some white flowers too. Lilacs next.
Have a good day.

Oh, my gosh, Debbie, that’s a beautiful little note you wrote at six a.m. Or sent at six, I should say, though I imagine you assembled those fifty-eight words, with thumbs or dictation, in just about two minutes’ time, same as it takes me, a former Kelly Girl, to type them with all eight of my fingers and one of my two thumbs on a computer keyboard, which I just now did, with a stopwatch running, just to see how long it would take. Two errors, though. I have gone a long way downhill from my actual Kelly Girl days.
Your description of springtime makes me want to go take a look at Janie Walters’s childhood home, on W. Fjord Street, the only place in Fjord I know of that has magnolias. I might steal your prose and put it in a WoW. Speak up if you object.
I wish you a delightful Saturday.
Love, Dave

Love it! Use whatever you want.
It continues to be a beautiful day 3 shopping sites later. Sat on porch with second cup of coffee and a book. Birds chasing each other and singing their mating songs. The whole day ahead, will keep reading for a while.
Laters.

Didn’t even do laundry. Tried a new recipe and it was flavorful. Household chores tomorrow. Spent time on the porch. Market sparse, lots of plants for sale. Bought eggs and cheese. Got the rest of what I need at the co op.
Have a good night.

Subject: Saturday
Picked up tax returns this afternoon in Sun Prairie, chatted with tax guy (FHS, Class of 1959), bought gasoline at Costco for the same price we’d have paid in Fjord ($3.399) and bought a cartload of groceries and this and thats, and then went to Piggly Wiggly in Mellon and learned their one-day-only, 8AM to 4PM meat sale was LAST Saturday, not today, as it was advertised in the flyer we consulted online, but that’s okay, we found meat to buy anyway. AND Celeste bought three bottles of booze! Minis, dollar a piece. Is that a good buy? I wouldn’t know. One is piña colada, one is something chocolate, and the last one is Original Margarita. We stored most of the Costco groceries in Dad’s freezer.
Returning home from the farm, I remembered what I had intended to remember on our way out of town to see the tax guy, which was to check out the magnolia tree at 134 W. Fjord. It has buds, but it didn’t look glamorous enough yet for a photograph. I’ll find a picture from another year.
Thanks again for your poetic reports of the sunny days before our next snowfall.
Sleep well.
Love, Dave
